Katerina has deep roots in the Tri-Cities for over 20 years, a history of volunteerism and political leadership. Having been raised in a Greek immigrant family of entrepreneurs and small business owners, Katerina understands the value of hard work, business management, client focus and an appreciation for the talents that business owners and entrepreneurs bring to our country. She also has practical experience with the realities of small and medium sized business operations having run her own consulting practice.
Throughout her career, Katerina has been involved in a range of economic and social initiatives. Her expertise includes international trade and investment, international shipping, labour market development and immigration, indigenous relations, youth homelessness and promoting women in business and leadership. Katerina is a team builder with a successful track record of getting things done.
He professional experience includes 15 years of experience in government, not-for-profit and private sectors. Notably, she has worked with a Vancouver area-based Chamber of Commerce, Covenant House Vancouver and Vancouver Internal Maritime Centre.
Katerina attained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University where she was also a member of the SFU Track & Field team. She obtained her Master of Arts degree from the University of Victoria with completion of the Co-operative Education Program and a European Union Study Tour Program.
